Ward councillors at the Golborne Medical Centre

Golborne Councillors are tackling huge amounts of casework relating to housing disrepair, overcrowding and forced moves, inadequate adult social care and sadly, a rise in hate crime since the Referendum. Many of the problems that residents bring to us at our weekly Surgery are the direct result of government policy, and this makes it even more difficult to resolve them.

We continue to fight for the best possible outcomes for Wornington Green tenants, many of whom have been badly let down, especially older and more vulnerable people.

Our most recent campaign concerns the Council's commitment to provide a new medical centre at the Edenham site in front of Trellick Tower, to house the three local GP practices.

This commitment is enshrined in the Local Plan - the blueprint for borough development - but now the Council wants to hand the site over to a developer for housing only. We are working closely with the GPs and health services to ensure the Council provides fit for purpose premises for the medical needs of Golborne residents.

We will always do our best to help you, but please be patient if you come to us for help, as we have to prioritise those in greatest need.
